British pop star Robbie Williams has been approached to sing the theme tune to the next James Bond movie.
Veteran singer Tony Christie has written a song he believes suits the former Take That star's voice perfectly and it is a contender to accompany Casino Royale.
He says: "Robbie's voice would suit it down to the ground - plus he's current and hip so it would be absolutely great if he did it. We tried to make it a typical Bond theme tune with a throbbing dramatic bassline filling the background.
"I'm a huge fan of the old school 007 songs like Shirley Bassey with Goldfinger and Tom Jones singing Thunderball, so I tried to give it that authentic sound. We are due to record it in February."
