Latina star Shakira was stunned when Wyclef Jean contacted her about a collaboration, because she had just had a dream about meeting the Fugees star.

The Colombian beauty's houseguest had taken a message from her manager to say Jean was keen for them to work together in the studio.

When Shakira woke up, she told her guest of her nocturnal vision, just moments before receiving the message.

Shakira, who created My Hips Don’t Lie with Jean, tells MTV: "I don't want you to think I'm esoteric or metaphysical, because I'm not superstitious, but I dreamed about Wyclef one night before he and I actually met.

"It was a sign from heaven. So I took a plane to meet him in Miami, and that's how it all got started. It's a happy accident or one of those games with destiny.”
