Morrissey holds Kate Moss responsible for troubled British rocker Pete Doherty's drug problems.

The Everyday Is Like Sunday singer is convinced the British supermodel diverted Doherty away from his music to the extent that he is almost constantly being arrested for possessing illegal drugs.

He says: "Kate Moss has just dragged (Pete) down to her level.

"I think it is unfortunate that he is more associated with the media and the press and hoo-ha and the silliness than he is with music.

"It's a terrible trap and he's jumped straight into it. And Kate Moss has just dragged him down to her level."

The Babyshambles frontman's relationship with Moss came to a head last September after she was photographed snorting cocaine at a London recording studio.

They split when Moss entered rehab shortly after, but they are rumoured to have rekindled their relationship in recent weeks.
