Movie star Tom Hanks is frustrated with Hollywood, because there are not enough honestly cynical movies being made.

The Forest Gump star is bored with romantic comedies and films where the good guy almost loses but still wins.

He says: "Even the most popular movies of the year, I go to see them and they are frigging boring to me because a bad guy is very specifically a bad guy and the good guy is very specifically a good guy.

"There are times when I really want to see a movie that is honestly cynical and honestly angry, but the vast majority are not. They just have this attitude that bores me as a cinema-goer and it certainly bores me as an actor."
