Lindsay Lohan’s mother and former US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin have been voted the worst potential mother-in-laws in the world in a new poll.

Neither of the public figures have kids who have wed, but they have topped a new list of nightmare mums.

Dina Lohan was singled in the Parenting.com poll, which also targeted Palin following her outspoken comments about the father of her teenage daughter Bristol's baby.

Elsewhere in the poll Britney Spears was voted the Least Desirable Facebook Friend.

There was some good new for celebrity parents - Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's daughter Violet and Barack Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia were voted the Most Popular Showbiz Kids, and Will Smith's son Jayden was voted the Most Likely to Follow in His Famous Parents' Footsteps.
