A Turkish diplomat was shot and injured in the garden of the country’s embassy in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, the foreign ministry said today.

It was not clear who fired the shot. There was no report of any attack on the Turkish Embassy, which is surrounded by high walls in a residential area of Baghdad.
