Gardaí in Co Kerry have arrested a woman in her 30s in connection with the death of a three-year-old Polish girl in Tralee last week.

The woman, a non-national, was arrested at her home shortly after 7.30am today.

She is being questioned about the death of the three-year-old girl at Kerry General Hospital last Friday.

The youngster was admitted to the hospital two days previously after suffering serious head injuries in an incident at her family home in Kileen Woods.
