Two Irish men are facing murder charges in India over the death of a British woman in the north of the country.

The two have appeared before a court in the popular tourist town of Manali in connection with the murder of Anna Bartlett and have been remanded until Wednesday.

The body of Ms Bartlett, who was convicted of drug trafficking in the United Arab Emirates in 2001, was found in a river near the town nine days ago.

Police have also detained an Indian man and are still looking for a Nepalese man in connection with the murder.
